Description

This position will assist in creating, collecting, and organizing geospatial data associated with stream and wetland mitigation banking projects. The person will also perform basic duties for various projects as assigned.

Length of the internship will be approximately 3 months (May 2025 – August 2025)

Essential Duties:

Create property-specific data for potential stream and wetland projects nationwide Manage company-wide data and provide timely updates to current project numbers and current project mapping Manage nation-wide data sets and incorporate national data into company-wide databases Provide Excel spreadsheets and map promptly from the above data Assist members of the regulatory team and other company departments as needed Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient with ArcPro Proficient and confident with Microsoft Office Proven track record of meeting deadlines Must be able to work as part of a team and independently once goals have been set

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Ability to assist other team members and effectively communicate aspects of ArcPro Ability to identify and map waters of the U.S and understand stream and wetland hydrology Education and experience identifying flora of the eastern U.S. Experience traversing terrain outdoors and using equipment such as machetes, UTVs, and hand tools

Required Education and Experience:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program, preferably with the completion of one year towards a bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field of study.
