Description
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but, not limited to the following.
In coordination with the Manager, Wood Procurement, implement the defined strategy for sourcing/purchasing wood and bark for the mill from all sources. Negotiate pricing on wood (roundwood, chips, and bark) and transportation. Develop and implement initiatives to improve the cost of fiber, while managing supply risk. Manage administration of assigned supply agreements. Interface closely with team to coordinate the wood, chip, and fuelwood deliveries and inventories. Maintain strong vendor relationships. Monitor competitive markets. Assist in maintenance of wood related certifications for the Texarkana Mill. Assist with month-end inventories. Up to 75% day travel, occasional overnight travel Other duties as assigned.
