Organization Overview: The San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (S.A.L.E.) is a volunteer organization emphasizing agriculture and education to develop the youth of Texas. S.A.L.E. conducts the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious single events in San Antonio with over 1.5 million visitors entering the grounds annually. S.A.L.E. has a rich tradition and history of stewardship to the community, agriculture industry and youth of Texas. With a clear vision of the future, a successful past and continual dedication from over 7,000 volunteers, S.A.L.E. continues to provide wholesome family entertainment and be a pillar of strength and support to the youth of Texas. Western Events Internship Opportunity: The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo hosts a wide range of western events within the Freeman Coliseum, including events like youth rodeo, ranch sorting, Charreada and more. This position works closely with staff and volunteers to support the successful execution of daily operations and event activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sponsor relations, mass communication with competitors, social media management, entry and results coordination, website updates, photography, videography and data management. Western Events Intern Requirements

Western industry experience preferred.

Junior, senior or recent college graduate preferred.

Comfortability around horses and livestock preferred.

Personal camera and equipment – not required, but preferred.

Personal editing software for social media video production.

Experience using Canva, Excel, Instagram and Facebook.

Strong work ethic and self-motivated.

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Customer service skills.

Creative photography and videography skills. Duties and Job Responsibilities:

Produce photo and video content for social media and sponsors.

Mass communication with Western Events contestants.

Assist with management social media posts, reels and channels.

Take pictures and videos of all sponsored assets inside the Western Events scope of work.

Work with event secretaries to upload all results and draws to the website.

Design custom graphics for website and social media.

Capture around-the-grounds and Freeman Arena candid shots.

Assist in show production. Qualified candidates may submit a cover letter, resume and portfolio.
