Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, outdoor-oriented Part-Time Forest Technician to assist with field operations. This is a hands-on field position with flexible hours based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with pile burning operations, including site preparation and fireline support.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, data sheets, and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Gulf Coast service area as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently in remote wooded areas and variable weather conditions.
  • Comfortable walking long distances over uneven terrain while carrying light equipment.
  • Basic map reading, GPS, or compass skills (training provided).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn company procedures.
  • Previous experience with timber cruising, planting checks, or prescribed fire is a plus.
