Description
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and sustain relationships with MFM staff, regulatory agencies, and other partners
Participate with area and region staff in harvest operations, silviculture, transportation systems, and land records management
Harvest unit design and layout, boundary delineation, harvest system selection
Forest Road Inventory Assessment support including data collection, GIS analysis, and reporting
Perennial stream surveys and reporting
Logging contract administration, including bidding or negotiating onboard truck pricing
Development of harvesting budgets and forecasts
Assist with silviculture activities including planting, precommercial thinning, competing vegetation control, insect, animal and disease damage control, etc.
Environmental stewardship including Oregon Forest Practices Act and SFI compliance
Stewardship of people, including development, implementation, and leadership in support of the MFM safety principles
Support acquisitions, client relations, Accounting, etc.
