Description
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with researchers to set up and execute field, greenhouse, and laboratory experiments. • Participate in sampling, data collection and analysis of soil and plant samples for microbial analysis. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory for soil microbiology research • Use computers and laboratory equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and • Develop new methods, learn new instrumentation and supervise students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Soil Science, Microbiology or related field. • Prior experience in soil science or microbiology research • Preferable skills include soil analysis for microbiome, DNA extraction, designing and running qPCR assays and bioinformatic skills to analyze microbiome sequence data.
