Description

Description This position serves as leader of the Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) Urban and Community Forestry (U&CF) program, responsible for administration and delivery of state and national U&CF programs in Texas. The position supports state and local U&CF advocacy and working groups dedicated to improving the community forests of Texas, monitors and reports program accomplishments to state and federal authorities and works internally to improve systems and procedures for accomplishing activities. The Program Leader is responsible for recommending, designing and executing projects and programs that meet state and federal objective for U&CF and provided direct supervision to field staff to execute goals and objectives consistent with the Texas Forest Action Plan. This position directs resources and personnel to achieve program and agency objectives, develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, manages fiscal, budgeting, reporting and administrative responsibilities and ensures all administrative procedures pertaining to hiring/employment/termination are followed.
