*About the role:

As the Forest Landowner Outreach Program Manager, you’ll work within our Sustainability Team and your primary responsibility will be to lead the development, launch, management, and implement a forest landowner assistance program aimed at the deliberate inclusion of local family-owned/underserved forest landowners in the US BECCS sourcing areas.

Within the role, you’ll lead a brand-new program along with building the systems from the ground up.

  • As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing a landowner assistance program in collaboration with the wider sustainability team, fiber team, and community team.
  • Collaborate with the community management team to ensure the needs of the community benefits plan are met and that landowners in the community are connected.
  • Support the development of promotional program materials, website, and social media content in partnership with the Strategic Communications Team and Community Engagement team."
  • Develop landowner information for distribution and administer programmatic distribution of this material.
  • Create a tool/template for forest management planning.
  • Build and maintain a database of landowners and supervise program administration.
  • Oversee BECCS Landowner Assistance Foresters who will act as the main contact for landowners and provide on-the-ground support.

Who we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you’ll need to execute strong communication skills at all levels of the organization, with a passion for sustainability, and a solid understanding of sustainable forest management.

  • You’ll need a degree in Natural Resources (i.e., forestry or wildlife preferred) and previous experience working with diverse stakeholders.

  • You must have a solid understanding of southern US forest management concepts and be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate and coordinate across different teams.

  • Additionally, you should have strong organizational and analytical skills, including proficiency in database management; experience with GIS/mapping is a plus.

  • Furthermore, you must have the ability to develop, manage, and support program growth, including a team of professional foresters who will be key to program success.
