The SFA Gardens Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series features Colin Lyman of the Houston Botanic Garden, who will present "Sensory Garden Design: Connecting Plants and People. " The Houston Botanic Garden opened in Fall of 2020 and is Houston’s newest outdoor destination, dedicated to enriching life through discovery, education, and conservation of plants and the natural environment.
Colin Lyman is the Associate Director of Horticulture at the Houston Botanic Garden, where he oversees and manages all grounds and horticultural operations at the garden. Colin has a bachelor’s in Plant Science and a master’s in Business Management and Leadership, as well as almost 10 years of experience in the horticulture industry, previously working at several college campuses in his home state of Utah.
Attendance is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center or next door at Raguet Elementary School.
