The School of Art’s annual juried competition and exhibition, Texas National 2026, attracts artists from across the United States, offering a prestigious opportunity to have work selected by a highly acclaimed juror. This long-standing exhibition highlights innovative and compelling contemporary art across a wide range of media.

This year’s exhibition is juried by Cindi Strauss, Sara and Bill Morgan Curator of Decorative Arts, Craft, and Design and Assistant Director, Programming at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. With a distinguished career curating more than 30 exhibitions, Strauss brings a deep expertise in contemporary craft and design, shaping a dynamic and thoughtful selection for this year’s show.
