“Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet”

Set in the Louisiana bayou, this poetic coming-of-age story follows 17-year-old Marcus as he grapples with identity, sexuality and the mystery of his late father’s legacy in the hours before an approaching storm. “Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet” is by Tarell Alvin McCraney.
