Join SFA Gardens for the Gorgeous and Ghoulish Gourds, a Garden Seminar for creating artistic and useful items with dried gourds. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to noon, September 13 in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center, located at 2900 Raguet St. in Nacogdoches. Volunteers Judy Almaguer and Kathy Redman will demonstrate how to stain and paint dried gourds to create bowls, decorations, and birdhouses. Participants will create their own decorated gourd to take home. All materials will be provided. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
