Plans, Plants and People Making a Difference at SFA Gardens

The SFA Gardens Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series is held the second Thursday of each month in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, located at 2900 Raguet St. Presentations begin at 7 p.m. and are followed by a plant raffle. Attendance is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, or next door at Raguet Elementary School.

The SFA Gardens Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series for Dec. 12, 2024, features Dr. David Creech, SFA Gardens Director, with a presentation entitled "Plans, Plants and People Making a Difference at SFA Gardens".

Dr. Creech received his bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University in 1970, a master’s degree in horticulture from Colorado State University in 1972, and his doctoral degree from Texas A&M in 1978. Dr. Creech began his long career at SFA as a horticulture professor in September 1978. He retired from teaching in 2007 as professor emeritus.
