Livestock AgVentures for grades K-2

Student touching cow

Hosted by SFA agriculture students, activities feature live farm animals for K-2 students to see and touch. There is also a live milking demonstration by the Southwest Dairy Farmers with the use of their mobile dairy classroom.

On the registration form, teachers can choose which day, October 21 or 22, that they would like to bring their classes. Pre-visit packets are sent to educators with descriptions of the activities and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) with which they are aligned, as well as instructions for bus drivers and students. The cost to attend is $5 per student, with no charge for up to four accompanying adults.
