Join SFA Gardens to participate in the “Great Backyard Bird Count” on February 15, 2025, at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet Street. The event is sponsored globally by Cornell Lab, Audubon and Birds Canada.
Indoor and outdoor stations will offer activities for people of all ages to help them learn about the parts of birds and their functions. Attendees will be offered tips on recognizing common birds found at feeders and a chance to practice using binoculars. Participants can help identify, count and document birds in the backyard of the Pineywoods Native Plant Center to help scientists better understand and protect birds.
The event is free to attend and participants are welcome to come and go during the event. Parking is available at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center or at Raguet Elementary next door.
