SFA education students lead three 40-minute long award-winning curricula of outdoor hands-on activities. Each activity is designed to enhance classroom learning in science for young students.
This event is hosted in collaboration with the James I. Perkins College of Education, the Texas Forestry Association, and the Texas A&M Forest Service.
On the registration form, teachers can choose which day, November 6 or 7, that they would like to bring their classes. Pre-visit packets are sent to educators with descriptions of the activities and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) with which they are aligned, as well as instructions for bus drivers and students. The cost to attend is $5 per student, with no charge for up to four accompanying adults.
