Horticulture Spring Plant Fair

Students and faculty in SFA’s horticulture program will host the seventh annual Spring Plant Sale. Available plants include summer annuals, edibles, native perennials, houseplants, and succulents, all of which thrive in East Texas. Free pancakes will be available while supplies last.

The Plantery is a program rooted within the Department of Agriculture where students grow and raise plants in the micro-farm Sprout, the greenhouses, and the teaching gardens around the SFA Agriculture Building. This event is also an opportunity to tour the plant-growing operation and SFA student projects, like the gravel garden and hydroponic system.

For information, contact Dr. Jared Barnes, associate professor of horticulture and steward of the Plantery, at barnesj@sfasu.edu. Learn more about the horticulture program at https://www.horticultureisawesome.com/the-plantery or @sfahorticulture on Instagram.
