Fruit Research Field Day

Join SFA Gardens for a fruit research field day featuring kiwifruit, muscadine grapes, blueberries, figs, pineapple quava and other alternative fruits. The day will begin with presentations at the Brundrett Conservation Building. Dr. David Creech, director of SFA Gardens, will present “The SFA Gardens’ Fruit Research Plots” and Dr. Tim Hartmann, assistant professor and extension specialist with Texas A&M University Department of Horticultural Sciences, will present “Alternative Fruits for the Home Orchard or Commercial Field.” After a lunch break, participants will visit the fruit research plots at SFA Gardens.

The cost of the field day is $15 per person. Lunch is on your own. Register on-site the day of the event or in advance online at the SFA Gardens Store.

Parking for the event is available at the Janice A. Patillo Early Childhood Research Center, 2428 Raguet Street, Nacogdoches
