Change in Academic Integrity Case processing
March 28, 2024 - 8:28 a.m.

Dean of Students Office

Greetings, faculty,

I wanted to inform you of an exciting update in reference to the management of academic integrity cases. The Dean of Students Office has received feedback from multiple faculty members about wanting the academic integrity paperwork to be electronic to make the process more efficient. We have heard you and have moved the paperwork into Dynamic Forms.

We will start using Dynamic Forms on April 1. Once the Dean of Students Office receives the case initiation form from you, we will enter it into Dynamic Forms. You will then receive an email from dsoforms@sfasu.edu with the subject line, “Dynamic Forms: Academic Integrity Faculty Resolution Form – Signature Request.” When you click on the link in the email, you will be prompted to complete the findings and select any sanctions.

Please note: if you are assigning a class or assignment grade reduction, you must also complete the “grade reduced to” field and click next. The next screen prompts you to enter the respondent student’s name and email address. This is how the form will route to the student in question. You will click continue and electronically sign the form, which will then be submitted to the student. You are able to complete this form while you are meeting with the student as it routes within a few seconds after your signature.

We believe this will significantly increase the efficiency of the process and make things easier for you. Students will be made aware of the change in the initial letter we send them, and we believe this transition will make things easier for them as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Andrew J. Dies, EdD
Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students
