Potential for severe weather at SFA

SFA is preparing for possible severe weather conditions in the coming days. We’re expecting periods of single-digit temperatures and the possibility of those remaining below freezing for 48 hours. Ice may accumulate on roads and make travel dangerous.
If you’re planning to travel to SFA in the coming days, exercise caution and plan accordingly. Conditions north of Interstate 20 will be especially hazardous, so make sure you have the proper emergency supplies in your vehicle. Pay attention to your local weather report and drive carefully.
If you’re on campus Sunday night and Monday morning, park your vehicle in SFA’s parking garages, if possible.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and announce any alterations to university operations by Monday.
