Be on TV: SFA casting for Amazon Prime series
Jan. 13, 2025 - 1:59 p.m.
Lumberjacks,
SFA is excited to be welcoming "The College Tour" crew to our campus the week of March 3-7. We are looking for students to cast in our upcoming episode to highlight the school, and we are hoping you can help share this opportunity with your students!
"The College Tour" is an Amazon Prime TV series created by some of Hollywood's most recognizable producers. The creator of the series is Alex Boylan, who was a winner of the "Amazing Race" and developed "The College Tour" after his niece was searching for colleges across the nation. Our episode will tell the story of SFA through the authentic lens of our students. The series is free to be viewed on multiple channels through streaming platforms — partnering with Prime Video, Google TV, Niche and Nearpod. It will also be on "The College Tour" app and website that is served to over 60,000 high school counselors nationwide.
Please share this amazing opportunity with your students! A casting call flyer is available that you’re welcome to print and post or share. Our campus will have the opportunity to feature up to 10 students. Those selected to be featured will be on TV, have a great addition to their résumé, and have access to "The College Tour" LinkedIn group to connect with other featured students across the country!
Lumberjacks can apply by submitting a casting form and uploading a two-minute audition video telling us who they are, their major and why they love SFA. In the video, they may speak on topics related to their SFA experience. Here are some examples:
- Athletics
- Aviation
- Business and Entrepreneurship
- Campus Life
- Career Readiness
- Forestry and Agriculture
- Hospitality/Culinary
- Recreation and Trails
- Sound Recording Technology

To be considered, videos must be submitted by Sunday, Jan. 19.
