Changes to COVID-19 protocols
March 2, 2022 - 3:39 p.m.

Greetings, Lumberjacks!

With spring break around the corner, we want to encourage you to keep your safety and the safety of others top of mind during your time away by continuing to take necessary precautions to stay healthy and protect yourself from COVID-19.

We also want to inform you of a few changes to SFA’s COVID-19 protocols that will be in place when you return.

Vaccines

Health Services will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for both Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines on March 3, 17 and 24. Students, faculty and staff may walk in or sign up through mySFA. The clinic will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. with a break for lunch, and from 1 to 4 p.m. After the March 24 clinic, Health Services will no longer provide the Moderna vaccine but will continue to offer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine until April 26.

Testing

Starting April 1, all COVID-19 testing must be scheduled. Students, faculty and staff must sign up for an appointment through mySFA and report to the front desk at Health Services at the designated appointment time to complete paperwork. They will then proceed to the lab for testing and will receive a call with their test results within an hour.

Reporting

Due to the low number of cases being reported, SFA will be reducing its online COVID-19 reporting frequency to once weekly. The Reported Positive Cases webpage will be updated at noon on Wednesdays. If you test positive for COVID-19, please report it through the reporting link, which also can be found under “Important Notifications” in mySFA.

We hope you have an enjoyable spring break, Jacks!
