I would like to announce that, following a national search, Dr. Dustin Knepp has been appointed as the new dean of the College of Liberal and Applied Arts.

Dr. Knepp comes to SFA with 17 years of experience working in higher education, most recently at California State University, Bakersfield, where he serves as professor and as chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.

You will be able to see more of Dr. Knepp’s background in a more detailed announcement soon to be released.

I would like to thank the search committee and all who participated in the selection process.

I would also like to thank Dr. Mark Sanders who has been serving as interim dean. Dr. Sanders’ dedication to his colleagues and our students is very much appreciated. We look forward to his continued service at SFA.
