Tropical Storm Beryl will continue to shift northwest through the western Gulf of Mexico today and will eventually strengthen into a hurricane. Beryl will make landfall along the middle Texas coast Monday morning before tracking north-northeast into central East Texas. The remnants of this system are expected to move over our region Monday to Tuesday morning before exiting the area Tuesday afternoon. The primary threats from this system will be the threat for locally heavy rainfall (5 to 10 inches), sustained high winds, flash flooding and a few isolated tornadoes.
