Please join me and the President’s Cabinet on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 8:30 a.m. as we celebrate the beginning of a new academic year at the Fall Welcome Meeting.
A limited number of seats (approx. 250-300) in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Grand Ballroom are available for those who choose to attend in-person. I encourage (not require) those who attend in-person to wear a face covering.
For those who choose not to attend in person, a link on my webpage will be posted by Thursday morning to allow participation via livestream.
Coffee will be served in the ballroom from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
In addition to my remarks, the meeting will feature updates from members of the President’s Cabinet.
In compliance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order GA-38, we strongly recommend (not require) all who are eligible to take personal responsibility to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear a mask when indoors with others. Your actions are not just about protecting yourself, but protecting others – including children and others who are not eligible to be vaccinated.
I look forward to addressing you and seeing you at the meeting or elsewhere on campus this fall.
Thank you,
Scott Gordon
President
