The following chart summarizes the changes that were made to university policies implemented or revised at this week’s meeting of the Board of Regents. Please follow the link from the name of the policy to the newest version in the SFA Policy Manual. You may follow the link on the description of the action/change for each policy to view all the revisions made to that policy.

Authority to Act in the Absence of the President 2.4 Clarifies how acting president is named.
Certificate Programs 5.2 Reviewed with no changes.
Credit and Contact Hours 5.4 Reviewed with no changes.
Designation of School Status 4.5 Reviewed with no changes.
Discipline and Discharge 11.4 Prohibits duly interfering with expressive activities of others; mandatory reporting updates under Title IX.
Establishing Centers, Institutes, and Specialized Testing or Services Laboratories 5.10 Minor wording changes made; titles updated.
Faculty Search 7.12 Minor edits for clarification.
Food Purchases 17.6 Clarified exclusions.
Graduate Student Advisement 6.13 Policy title changed. Minor wording changes made.
Guest Lecturers 7.15 Minor edits made.
Illicit Drugs and Alcohol Abuse 13.11 Allows full-time employees living in university-owned housing to possess alcohol for personal use within their private residences.
Laboratory Fees 3.22 President authorized to delete fees outside of usual timeline.
Library Gifts 4.11.3 Policy title changed; minor wording changes made.
Overtime and Compensatory Time 12.14 Requests can be made using paper form or electronically.
Performance Evaluation of Faculty 7.22 Clarification of dean’s role in the process.
Reporting of Abuse, Exploitation or Neglect of Elderly Persons or Persons with Disabilities 13.18 Reviewed with no changes made.
Selection of Academic Deans 4.9 Basic clarification edits.
Sick Leave 12.18 Allows paper form or electronic submission for use of sick leave. Added reference to sick leave donation form.
Stone Fort Museum Collections 5.17 Reviewed with no changes made.
Substantive Change 4.10 Wording changed to align with SACS policy.
