Tiger Team Update
Dec. 6, 2019 - 3:03 p.m.

In September a cross divisional team was formed to address SCH production for fall 2020, this team has been referred to as a Tiger Team. The Tiger Team has been mentioned at a number of different venues, which has prompted some good discussion, questions, and suggestions. In order to help clarify the purpose and direction of the Tiger Team’s work, the team thought it would be helpful to share this update.

A Tiger Team is a team of experts who have been assigned to investigate and/or solve technical or systematic problems regarding a specific goal. The mission of our SFA Tiger Team is to identify the strategies and barriers that can have an impact on SCH for fall 2020 in a manner that will contribute to our foundational goal of Meaningful and Sustained Enrollment Growth.

The goal is to increase SCH for fall 2020 by 5%. The Tiger Team focus has been to identify top strategies and existing barriers that impact the generation of SCH. The team is empowered to implement improvements to administrative business processes that increase SCH for fall 2020.

The team consists of the following members:

  • Jamal Smith, Orientation
  • Raquel Skidmore, Academic Advising - Rachele’ Garrett, Financial Aid
  • Pam Corman, Business Office - Dannette Sales, Controller Office
  • John Calahan, Assessment
  • Sabrina Delaney, Registrar Office - Dr. Joyce Johnston, College of Liberal & Applied Arts
  • Dr. Stacy Hendricks, James I. Perkins College of Education - Meredith Baily, ITS
  • Rich Barnhart, ITS - Anthony Espinoza, ITS
  • Erma Nieto Brecht, Enrollment Management

The Tiger Team welcomes suggestions and/or concerns that can contribute to their mission. Should you or your department have a strategy in mind or are aware of a barrier that could impact SCH, please share it with one of the Tiger Team members. As a team they will identify if it is a strategy or barrier that should be addressed now or one that should be saved to address at a later time.

Thank you for supporting the Tiger Team’s efforts in enhancing the University’s enrollment.
