I am pleased to share that SFA has engaged Cardinal Grange to find our next director of athletics.

This search, which is crucial to our athletics program's future, is led by a dedicated committee chaired by Damon Derrick, vice president and general counsel. Committee members include Trey Turner, associate vice president for university advancement; Jason Reese, associate dean in the Nelson Rusche College of Business; Loree McCary, interim director of athletics; Hans Williams, dean of the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture; Brigettee Henderson, former SFA regent; Debbie Humphreys, head volleyball coach; and student-athletes Bruce Harmon in football and Kelly Johnson in beach volleyball.

Our partnership with Cardinal Grange is a testament to our commitment to excellence and our confidence in finding a leader who embodies the spirit and ambition of the Lumberjacks. We aim to bring finalists to our campus around mid-May, aligning with President Neal Weaver’s arrival.
