Statement on Recent Events

Dear SFA Community:
Since the tragic death of George Floyd, the country has reeled at the injustice exhibited in this senseless tragedy. Many in the SFA community may be feeling fear, hopelessness or anger right now. At SFA, our unwavering dedication is to maintain a safe, positive, supportive and respectful campus and greater community. I stand with those across the nation calling out against systemic racism, discrimination and brutality, and advocating for change.
The security of our SFA students is our highest priority, and we will continue in our commitment to promoting and celebrating the tremendous diversity we have on campus. Together, we are Lumberjack Strong!
