Weather update - SFA cancels Monday and Tuesday classes
Jan. 19, 2025 - 6:08 p.m.
Dear SFA faculty, staff and students,
Due to anticipated severe winter weather conditions, SFA will be closed and all classes — both in-person and online — are canceled for Monday evening and Tuesday, Jan. 20-21. SFA’s Early Childhood Laboratory and Charter School will also be closed.
The National Weather Service projects that a light snowfall will begin Monday evening and increase into Tuesday morning, potentially resulting in hazardous road conditions. SFA’s Emergency Management team has been working closely with the regional NWS office and other state and community partners. They will continue to monitor weather conditions closely, and SFA officials will reconvene Tuesday to determine whether to resume classes Wednesday. Check SFA’s website and social media for any additional weather-related announcements.
As a reminder, current SFA students, faculty and staff should receive a Jack Alert message when classes are canceled or delayed. Register for Jack Alerts or update your contact information through mySFA.
