Lumberjacks,
As you may be aware, a proposed dedicated athletic fee is going up for student vote next week. This fee ($10 per semester credit hour, capped at 12 hours per student) is a dedicated fee to help fund SFA Athletics. If approved, this fee would eliminate athletics' student service fee allocation of $960,000, which would allow this money to be allocated elsewhere. You can learn more about the fee, what it means for you and your eBill, and much more information on the proposed athletic fee website.
Two more informational sessions also will be held. The next one is tomorrow night at 5 p.m. in the Baker Pattillo Student Center third-floor commons (at the top of the stairs). The final information session will occur at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, also in the student center third-floor commons. Voting will open at 12:01 a.m. April 4 and close at 12:01 a.m. April 6. More information about voting will be shared next week.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Dean of Students at dos@sfasu.edu.
