Preparing for a Safe Thanksgiving Break
Nov. 18, 2021 - 2:29 p.m.
Dear Lumberjacks,
As we head into the final stretch of the fall semester, I would like to thank you for your efforts to help minimize the effects of COVID-19 at SFA. Before we break for the holidays, I would like to remind you to take the necessary precautions to remain healthy. This is especially important as we travel, passing through and spending time in communities which may have more cases than here in Nacogdoches.
Please continue to practice physical distancing, wear a mask, and regularly wash and/or sanitize your hands. Health Services is offering the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. Members of the SFA community can register for a vaccine through mySFA for first dose and booster shots. Health Services also continues to offer walk-in COVID-19 testing from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Cold and flu season also are upon us. Below is a refresher on symptom differences between a cold and COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Cold Symptoms
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Coughing
- Sneezing
