We are experiencing power losses in several buildings across campus. Physical plant personnel are on campus and are working to identify and correct these issues.

Rolling gas outages may cause the university to be unable to heat the residence halls. Should an interruption in heating occur, it may be safest to stay in your residence hall. However, a warming station will be established, and the location will be provided as soon as possible. Face coverings will be available and are required.

Some residence halls have no water or are experiencing low water pressure, and the City of Nacogdoches has issued a boil-water notice. We ask that you avoid using laundry facilities during this time in order to preserve resources. A limited supply of drinking water will be provided to students in residence halls.

Tomorrow’s food service will move from the Student Center dining hall to the East College Cafeteria. Adequate food supplies are available, but the university may not be able to serve hot food during the coming days. We will distribute sandwiches or food items that do not require heating during this time. We are in contact with suppliers to ensure that we continue to receive adequate food shipments.

In addition to icy walkways, falling trees and limbs are creating dangerous conditions on campus. To the extent possible, please stay indoors.
