Holiday Schedule and Administrative Leave

The SFA Board of Regents approved the 2022-2023 holiday schedule at its July 26, 2022, meeting. The holiday schedule includes university closure during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break periods, which requires non-faculty employees to take paid leave days (or leave without pay if no paid leave is available) for four (4) days including Dec. 29 and 30, and March 9 and 10.
SFA Policy 12.11 Leaves of Absence and Miscellaneous Leave allows the president to grant leave to employees who meet certain job performance criteria. In accordance with this policy, I intend to award administrative leave not to exceed 32 hours per employee based upon the criteria and procedures outlined in that policy.
Cabinet members should work within each respective division to ensure that SFA Policy 12.11 guidelines and procedures are properly followed.
