NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
UPD receives donation of lifesaving supplies for emergencies

Dr. Chris Klingenberg, a local emergency medicine physician and the Nacogdoches SWAT Team medic, donated six medical anchor bags to SFA’s University Police Department. The bags are equipped with lifesaving supplies officers can use during emergency situations involving multiple casualties.

“We have an all-volunteer training group called Nacogdoches Unified Medical Response that is directly supported by the Nacogdoches Police Department — specifically, Nacogdoches SWAT,” Klingenberg said. “The bags, which were paid for by the Bright Foundation and the Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation, are part of a comprehensive training package our group created for all our local officers. The training and the bag are always meant to work together. Can’t have one without the other.”
