SFA's dietetics and nutritional sciences program and the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is hosting an event for health care professionals and students from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 7, in the Baker Pattillo Student Center, Regents' Suites A and B.
Attendees can explore the latest evidence-based strategies in treating thyroid problems, diagnosis and treatment of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth and gastrointestinal issues; and learn the evolving role of dietitians in various health care settings to improve patient outcomes.
The cost includes lunch, vendors and a poster session, along with three educational presentations, approved for three continuing education units for registered dietitians and dietetic technicians, registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
