OIP announces this month's Global Gateway events

Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to the Office of International Programs' cultural presentations at 3 p.m. in Steen Library, Room 103, on the following dates:

Grenada, March 5

Brazil, March 27

The events include presentations led by SFA international students who introduce attendees to their countries, traditions and lifestyles. Question-and-answer sessions follow the presentations.

Midgley

Midgley, festival director and founding member of the Nacogdoches Short Film Festival, recently hosted the festival's fourth annual event at SFA's Baker Pattillo Student Center Theater.

The festival featured short films from SFA students and alumni, as well as submissions from national and international filmmakers. Additionally, the audience selected the Audience Choice Award winner during the program. The short film festival continues to serve as a valuable platform for emerging East Texas filmmakers to showcase their work to the community.

Faculty and staff score free entry for Cram the Coliseum
Basketball

SFA is stepping onto the national stage in an ESPN-televised basketball matchup when our men’s team takes on McNeese State University at 6 p.m. Monday, March 3, in Johnson Coliseum.

Faculty and staff are invited to take advantage of free tickets and help showcase Lumberjack pride to a national audience.

University Series to bring award-nominated “Dragons and Mythical Beasts” to campus

Step into a world of magic, myths and legendary creatures as the SFA University Series presents “Dragons and Mythical Beasts” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Turner Auditorium.

This thrilling interactive show, nominated for the 2022 Olivier Award for Best Family Entertainment, invites audiences of all ages on an unforgettable adventure. Perfect for families and fantasy lovers alike, this production brings together incredible puppetry, stunning visuals and interactive storytelling to create a magical experience.
