NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Presidential Investiture Ceremony scheduled for May 1
weaver

The Presidential Investiture Ceremony for Dr. Neal Weaver will be held at 10 a.m. May 1 in the Griffith Fine Arts Building, Turner Auditorium. A reception will immediately follow.

An investiture ceremony is a prestigious academic tradition that marks the formal installation of a new university president. During this ceremony, the president is officially "vested" with the powers of their office, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the university's history. The ceremony typically features academic traditions, music, speakers and remarks from the president, bringing together the university community to celebrate this transition in leadership.

For more information about the ceremony and related events, visit sfasu.edu/investiture.

Faculty Senate to meet tomorrow

The SFA Faculty Senate will hold a meeting at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in McGee Business Building, Room 133, or Zoom with meeting ID 980 2664 7297 and passcode "SENATE."

Members of the SFA community are welcome to attend the public portion of the session; however, per senate rules, only faculty senators are permitted to participate in the discussions during the meeting. Therefore, forward your questions in advance to your faculty senator for potential consideration.
