Drs. Kyle Conlon and Lauren Brewer, associate professors of psychology
Conlon and Brewer

Conlon and Brewer recently had their article, “Flex Appeal: The Relationship between Exercise Frequency and Mate Value,” accepted for publication in Evolutionary Psychological Science. The study explored whether exercise frequency influences one’s own perception of mate value as well as the traits one desires in a potential long-term mate. They found that high-frequency exercisers scored higher on self-perceived mate value and reported a higher ideal partner mate value than low-frequency exercisers.

Dr. Flóra Faragó, associate professor of human development and family studies

Faragó was selected to serve as a mentor for the Leverage Empower Advance Research Network Mentorship Program, which is a two-year initiative funded by the Jacobs Foundation.
